SINGAPORE, 11 July 2024 – Matchweek 8 of the Singapore Premier League gets underway on Friday night with a highly contested clash between Tanjong Pagar United and Albirex Niigata (S) in the Jurong East Derby.


Saturday brings more derby action as rivals Balestier Khalsa and Lion City Sailors go head-to-head in a riveting fixture at Bishan Stadium. Elsewhere, joint league leaders BG Tampines Rovers await the challenge of Brunei DPMM at the Jalan Besar Stadium.


Wrapping up the matchweek, Hougang United who are still in search of their first win this season, takes on the Young Lions on Sunday evening.
