2024/25 Singapore Premier League Matchweek 35: Preview

The penultimate round of the 2024/25 Singapore Premier League presents a thrilling series of matches as the season draws to a close. Matchweek 35 kicks off with an Western derby between Albirex Niigata and Tanjong Pagar United at the Jurong East Stadium on Friday, with Albirex looking to secure fifth spot against an out-of-sorts Tanjong Pagar side. On Saturday, BG Tampines Rovers travel to Brunei Darussalam for the last time to face an in-form Brunei DPMM side, who are looking to prise that fifth spot away from Albirex. To wrap up the matchweek, Hougang United takes on Young Lions on Monday as both sides look to end their season on a high.

The Lion City Sailors have been crowned champions of the 2024/25 Singapore Premier League (SPL) despite a one nil loss against Balestier Khalsa at the Jalan Besar Stadium. While Balestier put up a spirited fight, this result had no impact on the title that was secured four days earlier.

2024/25 Singapore Premier League Matchweek 34: Preview

As the 2024/2025 Singapore Premier League nears its conclusion, Matchweek 34 presents yet another yet another exciting round of games. Meanwhile Tanjong Pagar United are all but consigned to finishing bottom after a draw with Young Lions. Following the weekend, The Lion City Sailors sealed the 2024/25 Singapore Premier League title with two games to spare, as their narrow win over Tanjong Pagar United rendered BG Tampines Rovers’ victory over Young Lions immaterial. Meanwhile Albirex Niigata (S) and Brunei DPMM kept their hopes of finishing in the top four alive with victories over Geylang International and Balestier Khalsa respectively.
