H-TWO-O/ITE Ultimate Dream Team once again took home glory in the Grand Finale after beating the Singapore Deaf Lions 5-0.

Abdul Irdan, Norshahiran Bin Jumari, Eden Lim, Muhd Firdaus and Karan Nawal all got onto the score sheet to cap their journey with the team.

However, the players cherished the fact that they got to play against the Deaf Lions, more so than achieving the victory.

The Deat Lions are a team made up of players who are hearing-impaired. As they are unable to hear the referee’s whistle, they have to rely on flags during the course of play.

Lim said: “It’s not about winning, but rather we get to play in such a unique match against players who showed that their disability is in fact not an hindrance to their playing ability.”

“This is an experience we are grateful for and must thank H-TWO-O for the opportunity.”
Prior to the Grand Finale, the H-TWO-O/ITE Ultimate Women’s Dream Team also took on a team comprising ITE staffs. Singapore’s footballing son Fandi Ahmad made a guest appearance for the team, while ex-international S.Subramani featured for the staffs.

The ITE Staff won the match 2-0 with Ramu Saravanan and Fandi Ahmad among the scorers.

Subramani himself too applaud H-TWO-O for this initiative, which he said has gave many budding footballers a chance to showcase their skills.

Warriors FC winger Ignatius Ang and Hougang United’s Benjamin Samuel are some whom were recruited to the local clubs after participating in the program.

“It’s good to see these kids given an avenue to showcase their skills and I hope this will continue for the foreseeable future,” Subramani added.
