History-Making Prime League Champions Want More

While Home United are still chasing for the title in the Great Eastern Yeo’s S.League with two games remaining, their Prime League side has already secured its division’s title.

The feat by Home in the Prime League is even more admirable, considering they had clinched the Prime League without losing a single game and could quite possibly be the first side ever to do so at that level.

However, Home’s Prime League coach Philippe Aw is not about to let his guys rest easy after winning 20 games and drawing seven. Instead, the Home coach wants his team to be the first side ever to go a season unbeaten.

“We may have won the title but we want to make history and stay unbeaten the whole season,” said Aw.

“It’s always special when you are part of history and this team will have something to to remember if they realised going unbeaten in the season. So with that, these boys will develop even more as they venture forward to be somebody in their life or even as a professional soccer player.”

Aw strongly believed that the club’s core vision – fitness, commitment and discipline – was purely evident in his side’s performances this season and that it was a good reason for why they have remained undefeated.

“For me discipline is a core value. In life, discipline is important in whatever you do,” Aw added.

“In modern football, fitness is a key component. The pace of the game is ever increasing. My belief is being fit training with the ball. Throughout the season, we’ve shown our fitness levels, dominating games in the last quarter.”

Even though the season is coming to an end, Aw hopes that the players continue to showcase the core values of the club wherever they went.

“We want to keep that value system in their system,” Aw asserted. “Every time they do something, we give our all. Its a very honorable and good value for every young Singaporean to uphold and if the boys can take this with them and apply it in life, I’m sure they’ll succeed in whatever they do.”

“So if anyone wants to join us at Home United Football Club, discipline, fitness and commitment, will always be in our blood line and its a philosophy that I will always instill in the teams.”
