After 10 matches into the 2014 Great Eastern Yeo’s Prime League season, Home United remain the only team still undefeated at this stage after Warriors FC fell to their first loss to National Football Academy (NFA) U17.

The Protectors were narrow 1-0 winners over Geylang International where a second-half goal from Shaheer Afiq was enough for Philippe Aw’s side to seal an away victory at the Bedok Stadium.

Warriors meanwhile suffered a 2-1 reverse to NFA U17 at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium as first-half goals from Joshua Bernard Pereira and Shah Zulkarnaen rendered Suria Prakash’s strike nine minutes from time a mere consolation.

Elsewhere at the Hougang Stadium, Tampines Rovers thumped Hougang United 4-1 for only their fourth win of the season.

Taufik Suparno put the Stags ahead in the 41st minute, only for Hougang to pull level through Durica Zuparic thirteen minutes later. Taufik then restored parity just before the hour mark before a goal apiece from skipper Cameron Bell and Azmeerudin Jamaludain secured all three points for Tampines.

Like their younger counterparts, NFA U18 also tasted victory as they registered a 2-0 win over Woodlands Wellington at Bukit Gombak Stadium courtesy of quickfire goals from Zulfadhmi Suzliman and Ashshiddiq Misban on 61 and 62 minutes respectively.

Lastly, there was only a draw on display as Tanjong Pagar United and Balestier Khalsa battled out to a 1-1 stalemate at the Queenstown Stadium.

Shafiq Noh opened the scoring for the Jaguars early on in the 19th minute but Balestier’s Ahmad Syahir equalised a minute from time to ensure his side a share of the spoils.
