Capped at Under-16 and Under-19 level for Singapore, Chew is a graduate of the now-defunct National Football Academy and won the prestigious The New Paper Dollah Kassim Award in 2017. He went on to make 11 league and six Singapore Cup appearances for Tampines in 2019, and scored his maiden goal with a stunning effort against Hougang United in the league. Chew further underlined his potential with another goal in the Singapore Cup final as Tampines triumphed 4-3 against Warriors FC.
