SINGAPORE, 16 OCTOBER 2020 – Hougang United have made their fourth mid-season signing of the 2020 AIA Singapore Premier League (SPL) by capturing Naufal Azman.

The Cheetahs announced the news on their social media platforms earlier today, stating that the 22-year-old forward has earned his opportunity after completing National Service (NS) in August.

Head coach Clement Teo told the club: “Naufal has shown his versatile qualities as a striker and can play on either side of the flank. He is very determined to show that he is capable of continuing to play at the highest level despite being out for two years due to National Service.”

Naufal, a National Football Academy graduate and a Singapore youth international, made his professional debut with the Young Lions in 2018 and scored twice in 16 league appearances. He has two brothers, Akram and Akmal, who are with the Young Lions this season.

The attacker, who will wear number 32, could make his Hougang debut this Saturday when they face Tampines Rovers.
