SINGAPORE, 20 JANUARY 2021 – Albirex Niigata (S) have made Kuraba Kondo their fifth signing for the 2021 Singapore Premier League (SPL) season.

The 18-year-old arrives from Cerezo Osaka’s Under-18 side, but has already played in J3 League for their U-23s. The attacker made four appearances in 2019 and a further seven last year, which also saw him score his first goal at that level.

Kondo is the latest in a line of Albirex arrivals with youth international experience for Japan in recent times, with former captain Kyoga Nakamura – now of Tampines Rovers – the most high-profile before him, having represented Japan at the 2013 U-17 World Cup.
