Four SPL matches rescheduled

Tampines Rovers team huddle, 21 March 2021.

SINGAPORE, 30 JULY 2021 – New dates have been announced for four upcoming matches in the 2021 AIA Singapore Premier League (SPL).

Three of these involve Tampines Rovers, who were slated to resume their league campaign at home on 4 August against the Lion City Sailors, followed by an away clash with rivals Geylang International on 8 August. These have now been moved to 21 September and 25 August respectively. This allows the Stags to have sufficient time to prepare for a return to competitive action after their recent quarantine upon their return from their 2021 Asian Football Confederation Champions League campaign in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Two matches will also be brought forward due to the postponed National Day celebrations. Tampines Rovers’ match against Balestier Khalsa has been rescheduled from 21 August to 19 August while the fixture between Hougang United and Geylang International at Hougang Stadium will be moved from 21 August to 20 August.
