The 33-year-old was without a club since leaving Kosovan top-flight outfit Drita at the start of 2020. It is not Fortunato’s first foray into Southeast Asia, having previously turned out for V.League 1 side Hai Phong FC (2013), Thai League 2 side PTT Rayong (2016) and Malaysian second-tier clubs PKNP (2017) and Felda United (2018). The well-travelled attacker, known as Giba, has also had stints in the top flights of South Korea (Gwangju FC), Albania (Tirana, Flamurtari) and Bolivia (Sport Boys).
