SINGAPORE, 21 APRIL 2022 – Rising star Ilhan Fandi has signed for Albirex Niigata (S) in a new chapter of his career.
The 19-year-old attacker has penned his first professional contract at the White Swans, which will run until the end of the current AIA Singapore Premier League (SPL) season.

With 13 goals in 33 matches for the Young Lions since making his debut in 2019, Ilhan moves on after completing his National Service earlier this Wednesday. At 16 years and 272 days, he is the 13th-youngest debutant in league history; he is also the fifth-youngest scorer at 16 years and 311 days. At international level, he has been capped thrice.

Ilhan, who will wear the number 17, told the Albirex website: “I am definitely very excited to be joining Albirex and can’t wait to get started. I hope that I can make an impact and mature as a player and also as a team; the target is obviously to try and win the SPL so I’ll do my very best to try help the team in any way I can.”
