Lion City Sailors, Tampines Rovers charged after SPL fixture

Statement from Aloysius Vetha, Director of Competitions, Football Association of Singapore 

SINGAPORE, 25 JULY 2022 – Following the alleged incidents that occurred at the technical area of Jalan Besar Stadium during and after the Singapore Premier League match between Lion City Sailors FC and Tampines Rovers FC on 24 July 2022, and after the viewing of the relevant footage and match reports, the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has moved to charge the parties listed below to the corresponding misconduct offences:

The charges have been communicated through both clubs and the above-named parties have until Wednesday, 27 July 2022, 1800hrs to provide their written responses (if any) of the respective charges to the FAS Disciplinary Committee (DC).

A DC meeting is due to be convened this Thursday, 28 July 2022, for all cases to be heard. As the matter is now before the DC, no further comments will be made till the completion of the judicial process.
