Home United Football Club officially launched the Home United Youth Football Academy (HYFA) on February 8.

The academy which is situated at 8 Mattar Road will feature two full-sized football pitches along with ten futsal courts and will also be available for public usage. The complex will also house an event plaza, a gymnasium and a cafe.

HYFA has impressed several significant figures with its opening, among which included Senior Minister of State Mr Masagos Zulkifli and Football Association of Singapore president Mr Zainudin Nordin who were both present at the official launch,

“You will witness a genuine legacy,” Mr Masagos declared. “HYFA is more than just turf, net and concrete infrastructure.

“It is not just for today, or the next few years. It is my sincere hope that this platform outlasts the next decade to groom generations of youth talent, and give hope to our society.”

“Congratulations to Home United on the successful launch of the Home United Youth Football Academy,” Mr Zainudin added.

“This is a step in the right direction to further enhance our existing youth development programmes, and it is a reflection of Home United’s commitment towards youth”

Home United chairman Anselm Lopez had high hopes for HYFA, and hopes the youth community will view HYFA as a platform for them to achieve their potential on both on and off the pitch.

“We hope our youth will see HYFA as a place they can come for guidance, support and motivation,” Mr Lopez said.

“Excellence requires attention in all areas of our youth development, including their academic development. Our team of coaches, mentors and technical staff will be on hand to encourage and guide our youth to excel in sports and their studies.”
