Warriors Aim To Look Good On And Off The Pitch

On the pitch, Warriors FC have been doing well in this year’s Great Eastern Yeo’s S.League season, as they sit in second spot going into the final three matches, and are mounting a strong challenge for the title.

Off it, they have fared not too bad either, after signing a sponsorship deal with local male grooming specialists Sultans of Shave to help the players look good off the pitch as well.

The deal worth S$25,000, was signed on Wednesday afternoon at the Sultans of Shave’s shop on North Canal Road, with Warriors chairman Lam Shiu Tong and Sultans of Shave director and co-founder Lewis Lim in attendance.

Warriors coach Alex Weaver and three of his first-team players namely Shi Jiayi, Hafiz Rahim and Thomas Beattie were also given the opportunity to have a taste of their services.

It was a deal which thrilled Lam, as he believed that this would not only help ‘elevate’ the profile of their players but also put them in a good position for seasons to come.

“As a club, Warriors are constantly looking around for new partners. We are always delighted to work with new partners who come onboard to support local football,” the Brigadier General added.

“Sultans of Shave is a new partner that we have linked up with, it is a good gesture of Sultans of Shave to want to work with Warriors. As a club, we want our players to look good on the pitch with their playing skills and of course off the pitch.”

As part of the partnership, Sultans of Shave will provide “Sultan’s Haircuts”, consisting of a comprehensive male grooming package, to the entire Warriors S.League Team as well as club officials and management committee members for the remainder of the 2014 S.League season and for the upcoming 2015 S.League campaign.

Also, the Sultans of Shave logo will be introduced on the left sleeve of the Warriors’ playing kits for the upcoming S.League season ahead.

Like BG Lam, Lim similarly felt this partnership would benefit both parties especially the Warriors, who are eight-time champions of the S.League.

“Warriors Football Club has been a mainstay in the local football scene and is one of the most decorated clubs in Singapore and we believe that the Warriors’ continuous strive for excellence both on and off the pitch is a fantastic platform for us to showcase what we hope to achieve for male grooming,” he said.

“We here at Sultans of Shave are extremely delighted to be able to form this partnership with them, and we proudly welcome the team to the home of the contemporary gentlemen.”
