SINGAPORE, 6 APRIL 2018 – As they gear up for their maiden home match of the Great Eastern-Hyundai Singapore Premier League (SPL) era on Saturday (7 April), Tampines Rovers FC will do so with the full backing of Our Tampines Hub (OTH).
Singapore’s first-ever integrated community and lifestyle hub, OTH has left no stone unturned in supporting the Stags ahead of their Eastern Derby clash with Geylang International FC.
Starting last month, the team has been featured prominently across all digital platforms within OTH, including their iconic clock tower that sits at the junction of Tampines Avenues 4 and 5.
Similar publicity is on their social media platforms, such as “countdown to match-day” campaigns, individual player and coach profiles, while contests were run for fans to win match tickets.
The team profiles are also exhibited along with an Instagram photo wall and contest to encourage engagement with Tampines fans and OTH visitors.

Supporters were able to get up close to the players and Head Coach Juergen Raab last Sunday at a Meet-and-Greet session, where autographed merchandise was given out.
The build-up will culminate in an official unveiling of a 30-metre long signage declaring the OTH Town Square as “Home of Tampines Rovers FC” on match-day before kick-off by some of Tampines’ Under-16 players.
This will be overseen by Guest-of-Honour, Mr. Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, and Adviser to Tampines Grassroots Organisations. Football Association of Singapore (FAS) President Mr. Lim Kia Tong, Tampines Rovers Chairman Mr. Desmond Ong, People’s Association CEO Mr. Desmond Tan and OTH Director Mr. Suhaimi Rafdi will also be in attendance.

Noise-makers and fans will be distributed for free to spectators, who will also be able to purchase food and beverages at the stadium itself as OTH has employed the support of several tenants at the Hub to sell snacks and drinks.
OTH’s efforts to back the Stags, who returned home last July after being based in Jurong West Stadium while their current venue was being constructed, will be sustained throughout the SPL season.
This is aimed at building a bigger and more robust fan base, as well as to foster community spirit and stronger ties between the team and residents in order to achieve a more cohesive and dynamic community through sport.
Tampines Rovers FC Chairman Desmond Ong said: “Tampines Rovers is extremely grateful for the support shown by OTH. We are very humbled by the effort made by OTH in making the club an integral part of OTH.
“On our part, Tampines Rovers have always made, and will continue to make, our players and staff available for all OTH events such as players’ Meet & Greet sessions. We are also involved in jointly promoting OTH as a venue of choice for events and consumers.
“The initiatives taken such as the player cut-outs; the “Home of TRFC” sign, have energised the team and made the players even more determined to repay the faith shown in them.”
Tickets to the match are available at the Public Service Centre at Our Tampines Hub.
