Leaders Home United maintained their 100% record in the Great Eastern Yeo’s Prime League as they ran out 4-1 winners over National Football Academy (NFA) U17 at Bishan Stadium.

Nurhalis Azmi’s scored a brace in the opening 23 minutes before Herman Osman added a third on the stroke of half-time. Adib Syahiran put the result beyond doubt with a quarter of an hour left, rendering Shah Zulcarnean’s 54th-minute strike a mere consolation as the Protectors made it three wins out of three.

A week after they were defeated 3-2 by Home, Tampines Rovers edged defending champions Balestier Khalsa by an identical scoreline at Toa Payoh Stadium.

Tampines skipper Cameron Bell opened the scoring on 17 minutes before Izzat Hamzah made it 2-0 three minutes later. Goals from Noor Akid and Ahmad Syahir then leveled things for the Tigers but forward Khalili D’Cruz popped up with the winner 13 minutes from time as the Stags returned to winning ways.

At Hougang Stadium, NFA U18 left it late to beat Hougang United with a double from Ashari Borhan in the final ten minutes of the game. Zulcarlnaen Kiflee scored the opener for the Cheetahs just before the interval.

Singapore Cubs meanwhile bagged a 3-1 win over Tanjong Pagar United at Queenstown Stadium as Slobodan Pavkovic’s side rose to third in the table with goals from Ahmad Khidir, Amirul Haziq and Asshidiq Wahid. The Jaguars responded through Zairul Bin Rahmat midway through the second-half.

In the final match of Week 3, Geylang International downed Woodlands Wellington 3-0 at Bedok Stadium.

Harithzan Jantan struck twice in the 58th and 71st minute before an own goal from Woodlands’ Syafiq Sharil gave the Eagles their first victory of the season.
