Hougang United vs Warriors FC

Warriors FC coach Razif Onn will be keen to see his side continue their winning ways in the Great Eastern Yeo’s S.League when they travel to the Hougang Stadium to take on K.Balagumaran’s Hougang United on Friday night.

Warriors’ win over Geylang International in their last game was Razif’s first victory with the club since taking over from former coach Jorg Steinebrunner in May. Although they kept a clean sheet, Razif felt that his team still have room for improvements.

“I don’t want to say it’s the best [performance] because there is no end to it. It does not mean that we win, we played the best football. We are always thinking of playing better football to win more matches, said Razif.

“When I took over the team we were conceding too many goals. Last week, we worked on defending.

“There was some chaos in the backline, but I think we did well to hold off the opponent (against Geylang),” added the Warriors coach who feel that his team is capable of achieving a good result against Hougang.

Razif will still be without Zulfadli Zainal who is serving his suspension, while Balagumaran will have a full squad at his disposal.

It was three points to Hougang when the two sides met earlier in the season with a wonder goal from Fumiya Kogure  separating the two side.

For the Cheetahs, they are coming into this match on the back a back of a morale-boosting win over Geylang and Balagumaran will be hoping that his side continue that performance and beat the Warriors.
