S.League Awards Night: DPMM, Albirex Biggest Winners

The 20th S.League Awards Night was held on Monday evening at the Marina Bay Sands, as the best of Singapore football were honoured for their efforts.
A special tribute was given to former Geylang International chairman Leong Kok Fann, as well as former Tampines Rovers chairman Teo Hock Seng, both of whom have stepped down in 2015.
Sponsors were all acknowledged for their efforts in supporting the S.League as well.
In a season where Brunei DPMM won their first S.League title, they were rewarded with two of the top three awards.
Azwan Ali clinched the Great Eastern Young Player of the Year award, becoming the first DPMM player to do so, while coach Steve Kean was named the RHB Coach of the Year, finally winning it after losing out last year.
As for the top gong, Albirex Niigata (S) Fumiya Kogure became the first from his club to win the Yeo’s Player of the Year.
In a sensational season, the Japanese midfielder scored five times in all competitions and recorded 13 assists in 38 matches.
