2023 Singapore Cup group stage to start on 24 September with the final due on 9 December

FRIDAY, 8 SEPTEMBER 2023 – The 2023 Singapore Cup will begin on 24 September with four-times winners Tampines Rovers taking on Young Lions at Our Tampines Hub while Brunei DPMM will host reigning Singapore Premier League Champions Albirex Niigata (S) at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

The full fixtures list for the 24th edition of Singapore’s premier cup competition was released today and was made known to the participating clubs.

Defending Champions Hougang United will begin the defence of their crown on 25 September as they take on Tanjong Pagar United at the Jurong East Stadium.

The nine Singapore Premier League (SPL) clubs are split into one group having four teams, and one group of five. Group A consists of Geylang International, the Young Lions, Brunei DPMM, Albirex Niigata (S) and Tampines Rovers, while Group B comprises Balestier Khalsa, Lion City Sailors, Hougang United and Tanjong Pagar United.

An open draw was implemented, with no seeding of any teams.

The group-stage matches will run from 24th September 2023 to 26th November 2023, with the top two teams from each group proceeding to a two-legged semi-final stage. That will take place on 3rd and 6th December 2023, with both the third-place playoff and final scheduled for 9th December 2023.
