SINGAPORE, 19 APRIL 2024 – Tickets for the upcoming Singapore Premier League (SPL) 2024/25 Community Shield will be available to the public starting this afternoon. Set to be held at the Jalan Besar Stadium, the event is scheduled for Saturday 4th May. Fans will be able to purchase their tickets via the FAS and Ticketek ticketing platforms (https://www.fas.org.sg/tickets/ and https://premier.ticketek.com.sg/)

Ticket sales will kick off at 12pm and will be facilitated through Ticketek Singapore. Prices are set at $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for concessions (applicable to individuals aged 3 to 12, and those above 60), with an additional booking fee of $1.00 per transaction. Each transaction will be limited to a maximum purchase of 10 tickets.

This year’s Community Shield promises to be an exhilarating match-up between the defending SPL champions Albirex Niigata (S) and the reigning Singapore Cup winners, Lion City Sailors. The kick-off is scheduled for 7pm. As the traditional curtain-raiser to the new SPL domestic football season, the match offers both teams an opportunity to claim the first trophy of 2024.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early at the stadium to immerse themselves in a variety of pre-match activities at the SPL Fanzone and Carnival that will include gaming stalls and club merchandise booths, to enhance the overall matchday experience. Adding to the excitement, a curtain-raiser event will precede the Community Shield match, featuring the U-17 teams from Albirex and Lion City Sailors in an exciting Singapore Youth League game. Gates open at 3pm and each ticket purchased for the Community Shield grants entry to this curtain raiser as well.

Fans can also indulge in a diverse selection of food and beverage options from an array of food trucks showcased at the event. They will be able to bring these refreshments into the stadium to enjoy while immersing themselves in the excitement of the game. In fostering an inclusive and dynamic atmosphere, spectators are encouraged to bring along banners and flags that adhere to security guidelines.

The SPL 2024/25 Community Shield will also be broadcast LIVE via Singtel TV and StarHub TV as well as live streamed online via Mediacorp’s meWATCH platform and the SPL YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/@sgpremierleague.
