Faris Chooses Home

Written by: Kenneth Ho

Former LionsXII winger Faris Ramli will be turning out in Home United’s colours for the 21st edition of the S.League.

The signing was announced by Home in a Facebook post, and represents a major coup for the Protectors, who are looking to win their first league title since 2003.

The pacey forward should fit in nicely with head coach Philippe Aw’s philosophy of attacking football, after displaying his eye for goal in the Malaysia league this year, with 11 goals in all competitions for the LionsXII.

Home has also retained the services of key players Azhar Sairudin and Abdil Qaiyyim, both of whom arguably served with distinction in 2015.

Coupled with Ken Ilso’s extension, who finished his debut season in the S.League as Home’s top scorer with 11 league goals, the Protectors are most certainly a force to be reckoned with next year.
