SINGAPORE, 10 FEBRUARY 2020 – Ahead of the 2020 AIA Singapore Premier League (SPL) season, we take a look at each of the nine clubs that are participating in the 25th season of the domestic top flight. Today’s focus is on the Young Lions!

More than half of the Young Lions team for this season will be new faces, with only 10 players having been retained. Singapore international Jacob Mahler will lead a side with an average age of around 19 years, under the charge of new head coach Nazri Nasir. Ilhan Fandi, the third son of legend Fandi Ahmad, will be expected to shoulder much of the attacking burden, while Marc Ryan Tan will be keen to make up for lost time after missing last season due to injury. Newcomers Ryhan Stewart and Danish Irfan, who have relatively more SPL experience under their belts, will look to guide their team-mates. Goalkeeper Karan Sobti and forward Khairin Nadim, who only turn 16 later this year, could make history if they are handed debuts during the season.Squad
