SINGAPORE, 14 MAY 2021 – In light of the tightened measures announced earlier today by the COVID-19 Multi-Ministry Taskforce and in accordance with directives from Sport Singapore (SportSG), the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) can confirm that the 2021 AIA Singapore Premier League (SPL) season will continue to carry on.

Given that all players and officials involved in the SPL are mandatorily swab-tested, the League will continue to carry on behind closed doors, which has been the case since 8 May 2021 after additional community measures were announced on 4 May. Strict protocols will continue to be in place, including zonal demarcation before and after matches to ensure the safety and health of all stakeholders are of top priority.
