2021 SPL season to end on 10 October

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) today confirmed that, after consultations with the participating clubs, the 2021 AIA Singapore Premier League (SPL) season will be extended due to the impact of two recent COVID-19 cases among the playing members of Geylang International FC and Balestier Khalsa FC.

SPL statement on Balestier Khalsa COVID-19 Case

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has been informed that a member of Balestier Khalsa FC (BKFC)’s playing squad has tested positive following a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. The BKFC player will be placed in a Quarantine Facility, in accordance with prevailing government guidelines.

SPL statement on Geylang International COVID-19 Case

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) was informed late last night that a member of Geylang International FC (GIFC)‘s playing squad has tested positive following a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. The GIFC player has been placed in a Quarantine Facility, in accordance with prevailing government guidelines.

SPL statement on Tampines Rovers COVID-19 Case

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has been informed that a member of the Tampines Rovers FC (TRFC) contingent which travelled to Uzbekistan has returned a positive COVID-19 test, which was detected when the team arrived back in Singapore from their AFC Champions League campaign.

SPL clubs to resume full training

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) welcomes the move by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce earlier today to allow the resumption of full-team training sessions for Singapore Premier League (SPL) clubs.

2020 AIA Singapore Premier League season suspended

In view of the latest measures announced today by the COVID-19 Multi-Ministry Task Force, the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) confirms the suspension of the current season of the Singapore Premier League (SPL), along with all SPL clubs’ training sessions, with immediate effect.

SPL fixtures to be played behind closed doors

Following the Ministry of Health’s advisory released today regarding ticketed sports events in light of the COVID-19 situation, the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has taken the decision for the current Singapore Premier League (SPL) fixtures to proceed as scheduled, but to be played behind closed doors till further notice.
