SPL statement on Geylang International COVID-19 Case
The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) was informed late last night that a member of Geylang International FC (GIFC)‘s playing squad has tested positive following a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. The GIFC player has been placed in a Quarantine Facility, in accordance with prevailing government guidelines.
Update on status of SPL in light of new measures starting 16 May
In light of the tightened measures announced earlier today by the COVID-19 Multi-Ministry Taskforce and in accordance with directives from Sport Singapore (SportSG), the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) can confirm that the 2021 AIA Singapore Premier League (SPL) season will continue to carry on.
